15 recover from COVID-19 in Pasig City

(KEVIN TRISTAN ESPIRITU / MANILA BULLETIN FILE PHOTO) Mayor Vico Sotto said the 15 patients, whom he called “new graduates” of the Pasig’s Centralized Quarantine Facility, have all recovered. “Magaling na po silang lahat (They have all recovered). They will be reunited with their families, sakto sa (just in time for) Father's Day!,” he said on his Facebook page. Last week, the mayor said seven were released from the quarantine facility, which is located at Rizal High School. Sixteen other patients were sent home earlier in time for Independence Day. “Pagbalik nila sa nga komunidad natin, tanggapin natin sila nang walang pag-aalinlangan. Wala na po silang sakit at mas malusog pa sila kaysa sa atin (When they return to our community, we should welcome them without hesitation. They are no longer sick and they are healthier than us),” Sotto said. On Independence Day, the mayor lauded frontliners fighting the battle against the new coronavirus pandemic. “Hindi natin kailanman malalaman kung ilang impeksyon ang naiwasan dahil sa ginagawa nating centralized quarantine (We will never know how many infections have been prevented by our centralized quarantine),” Sotto said. “Hindi na natin malalaman kung ilan buhay ang nailigtas dahil inalagaan ninyo ang mga pasyente sa centralized quarantine (We will never know how many lives were saved because you cared for patients in centralized quarantine ),” he added.
