The Quezon City government is operating around 140 vaccinations sites in its six districts daily to inoculate more individuals against COVID-19.
The vaccinations sites are health centers, malls, schools, community venues, churches, and special venues.
The city government also conducts vaccinations in subdivisions, private work spaces, government agencies, care homes, and other closed institutions.
Home vaccinations are being conducted for bedridden and differently-abled individuals.
Drive-thru inoculations in several mall parking lots and pharmacy-based vaccinations are also being conducted.
“We are expanding and intensifying our vaccination program to accommodate the city’s eligible population, estimated at 2.8 million residents, including 5-11-year-old children. This figure does not include the thousands of non-resident workers who also get their shots in the city,” Mayor Joy Belmonte said.
“Individuals and families interested to be vaccinated are advised to check the schedules and venues posted on the Quezon City Government’s Facebook page. Thanks to our healthcare workers, local government employees, barangay officials, and volunteers, we are able to mount large vaccination rollouts every day,” QC Vax to Normal Action Officer Dr. Maria Lourdes Eleria said.
The city government has started accepting walk-ins when the vaccine supply in each site exceeds the doses needed by the number of registered vaccinees. The same system applies in mall vaccination sites.
