LUCENA CITY- The City Health Office (CHO) here reported that there were 13 new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases here in just a matter of 24 hours, bringing the total cases of 61 and 32 recoveries, as of 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The CHO was already conducting contact tracing at the possible barangays where the patients came from as reported by the Lucena City Inter-Agency Task Force.
Last May 20, the city achieved “zero” positive cases after the reported 29 COVID-19 patients recovered and were cleared,
But after the National Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) placed the city under general community quarantine (GCQ) started on June 1, and along with the lifting of liquor ban, the city gradually posted COVID-19 cases anew.
There were also 150 suspect, and eight probably cases, according to the CHO.
For the entire Quezon province, the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) reported a total of 127 positive cases.
