115 barangays in Pasay City placed under localized community quarantine
The Pasay City government on Monday placed 115 out of 201 barangays in the city under localized community quarantine (LCQ).
Mayor Emi Caluxto Rubiano said that of the 115 barangays placed under LCQ, 431 households were affected and undergoing quarantine.
Barangay 183 still remains with the highest number of households afflicted with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with 62, followed by Barangays 179 and 191-- both with 12; Barangays 76 and 184 -- both with 11, and Barangay 38 with 10.
She said the city government will continue to help residents afflicted with the virus by providing them with nutritious and vitamins-rich foods like vegetables and fruits.
The mayor also said the city government is conducting swab testing and isolation of those who to tested positive for COVID-19 to prevent the spread of the disease.
Rubiano added that the City Health Office, as of March 21, recorded a total of 881 active cases with 124 new cases.
She appealed to city residents to be vigilant and continue to observe the health protocols, particularly the wearing of face masks, face shields, and observing two-meters physical distancing.
Rubiano asked the residents for their cooperation now that the National Capital Region was placed under a stricter General Community Quarantine (GCQ) from March 22 to April 4.
