A few hours after the latest Pulse Asia voter preference survey showed a nine-point jump in her numbers for March, Vice President Leni Robredo was seen dancing the traditional Mangyan dance in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, during a campaign sortie on Wednesday, April 6.

The Vice President danced to the tune of "Kay Leni Tayo" with the Youth for Leni during her introduction at the "Mindorosas: The Occidental Mindoro People's Rally" held at the San Jose Municipal Plaza in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
There's another reason for the dance: Occidental Mindoro Rep. and gubernatorial candidate Josephine "Nene" Sato endorsed the candidacies of Robredo and running mate Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
"Leni is not only worthy of the Presidency, she is the only person to become the next President of our Republic," Sato said.
Incidentally, she was also in Occidental Mindoro six years ago when she was campaigning for the vice presidency.
“Sa hindi po sinasadyang pagkakataon, April 6 ulit ngayon. Kaya baka puwedeng humirit 'yung botong binigay niyo sa akin noon, baka po– hindi lang madagdagan pa pero damay na din po ang aking partner, Senator Kiko Pangilinan (In an unexpected turn of events, it’s April 6 today. So maybe I can request that the votes you have me before, maybe—not only add more but include my partner, Senator Kiko Pangilinan),” Robredo said while also asking for votes for her senatorial lineup.

The aspiring president stressed that she went through a rigorous process in choosing Pangilinan and her senatorial lineup.
Robredo shared that she has been to Occidental Mindoro several times in the past six years, specifically during crises, relief operations, and the pandemic.
She said this is her "resibo (receipt)" that she was not only present during election season, but that she serves every time she is needed.
Kakampinks gathered at the plaza despite the inclement weather to show their support for Robredo and her entire slate.

The Vice President and lone female presidential candidate this 2022 polls also held a grand rally in Puerto Princesa, Palawan on Wednesday night.
