Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao will not drop from his Senate slate reelectionist Senator Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri although the latter endorsed the candidacy of another presidential bet, former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
Pacquiao said he still supports Zubiri's Senate bid because the latter is a fellow Mindanaoan and he "wants him to win."
"Hindi naman ito pang personalan sakin. Ang gusto ko lang magkaroon ng representative ang ating Mindanao kasi gusto ko talaga ng development sa Visayas at Mindanao eh (I just want him to win. It's nothing personal. I just want someone who can represent Mindanao because I want developments there and in Visayas) ," he added in a press briefing prior to his campaign activity in Caloocan City.
In a campaign rally in Bukidnon on March 31, Zubiri, who also belongs to the ticket of presidential aspirants Pacquiao and Vice President Leni Robredo, called Marcos Jr. "our president."
Asked for his reaction, Pacquiao said: "Let him."
Pacquiao also said that "regret is always at the end," so if the country suffers once it has elected a wrong president, then we should not blame the people but those "hard-headed" who are endorsing the wrong candidates.
