One Cebu's endorsement of Marcos a sign of things to come—Mayor Duterte
CEBU CITY, Cebu--For Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, One Cebu's endorsement of UniTeam presidential bet Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. is a good omen for the upcoming May 2022 national elections.

I am grateful to the leaders of the province of Cebu that have shown their confidence in my candidacy for vice president)," she told One Cebu officials led by party chairperson and Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia here in Cebu City on Tuesday, April 12.
Mayor Duterte, Marcos's running mate, also noted that the local ruling party's endorsement was a positive sign that she would hold on to.
The union between One Cebu and the UniTeam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte is one of the positive signs that I will personally hold on to until we reach victory—that we will be able to realize our dreams for the Filipinos and our beloved country)," Duterte continued in her speech.
Earlier in the day, One Cebu released a statement signed by Garcia declaring that the party had made the choice to back Marcos's presidential candidacy.
One Cebu also previously endorsed vice presidential hopeful Duterte herself.
