Nueva Ecija police arrest six drug peddlers in two-day campaign

CABANATUAN CITY – Six drug peddlers were arrested and P384,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in separate operations conducted by the Nueva Ecija police on Saturday (March 25) and Sunday (March 26) in the province. Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office director Col. Richard Caballero said a drug suspect identified only as alias “John,” 40, was nabbed in a drug bust operation launched in Barangay San Roque, Gapan City. Seized from the suspect were more or less 56 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P380,000, marked P1,000 bill, and nine pieces of P1,000 bills boodle money. Meanwhile, an alleged leader of the Martinez Criminal Group identified as “Raymund” was also arrested in a separate operation in Barangay San Juan Accfa, Cabanatuan City. Seized from the suspect were more or less 0.3 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P2,040, a caliber .38 revolver with four ammunition, and  marked P500 bill buy-bust money. Also four other suspects were collared by authorities with four grams of dried marijuana leaves and 0.27 grams shabu. All the arrested suspects are now under the custody of the operating units.
