LOOK: Bongbong 'emotional' in visit to dad's grave at Libingan ng mga Bayani

Leading presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. appeared to get emotional when he visited his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos's grave Tuesday, May 10, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (Heroes' Cemetery) in Taguig City.

These photos provided by the BBM Media Bureau showed Bongbong spending time at the grave marker that had a bust of his late dad, perhaps reflecting on his impending majority vote victory in the elections held just a day earlier.

"Marcos is grateful to the Filipino people for giving him the landslide victory and to his father who been his inspiration throughout his life and taught him the value and meaning of true leadership," read the BBM camp's photo release.

Most of the journalists who covered Bongbong throughout the campaign period spent the entire day Tuesday at the BBM headquarters in Mandaluyong City waiting for a press conference. In the end, no presser was held.
