Korina Sanchez-Roxas pays tribute to style icon Baby Araneta Fores

Broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas paid tribute to her aunt-in-law style icon Maria Lourdes 'Baby' Araneta Fores who passed away on Saturday, March 25. On social media, Korina wrote a short but sweet post for Mrs. Fores. Her full post: "What a life. Actually, a life worth 10 lives. Thank you Tita Baby Forés for the bar you set as a standard: for style, fun, party, friendship, generosity, for family, for LOVE. You will wake up in a City That Never Sleeps. I love you," wrote Korina. Baby is the mother of renowned Filipino chef Margarita Fores, cousin of former Senator Mar Roxas III, husband of Korina. She is the wife of the popular surgeon and pioneer of Makati Medical Center Dr. Raul Fores who passed away on June 20, 2019. He was 89. Margarita wrote in Korina's post: "Looking up to the heavens! Love you mommy."

She also uploaded a photo of her mom on Instagram. It was captioned: "My Mother. My Rock. My Everything. Maria Araneta Forés July 28,1938-March 25, 2023." Friends shared their love and sympathy with the Fores family. Some comments: "Condolences from the Quizons. Prayers for you and family," wrote Eric Quizon. "My deepest condolences to your whole family. She was such an ICON. Sending you a tight hug [@korina](https://www.instagram.com/korina/) [@margaritafores](https://www.instagram.com/margaritafores/)," said fellow broadcaster Karen Davila. Entrepreneur Alice Eduardo wrote: "My condolences my dear [@korina](https://www.instagram.com/korina/) and to your family. Tita Baby was an icon, she will be missed. My love and prayers." "My sincere condolences & sympathies," said Charlene Gonzalez-Muhlach.
