F2 Logistics dumped PLDT with a 21-25, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17 rout to take Game 1 of their best-of-three battle for third series in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference on Sunday, March 26, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasig City.
The Cargo Movers recovered from their opening-set stumble to turn away the High Speed Hitters in the next three frames to move a win away from their first-ever PVL podium finish.
Kianna Dy led the Cargo Movers after finishing with 20 points built on 15 attacks, three blocks and two aces, while Aby Maraño dropped a conference-high performance of 19 points off 14 attacks and five blocks, with Ara Galang chipping in 13.

F2 Logistics surged to an early 5-2 lead in the fourth set but would encounter PLDT’s fightback at 15-14 midway before Galang denied access to Mich Morente to make the the slim advantage into two. From then on, the Cargo Movers would held on to the set with an 8-2 run capped by a Majoy Baron quick for the 24-16 lead before the High Speed Hitters shot themselves in the foot with an unforced error. “Siyempre okay iyon kasi at least mabilis maka-adjust. [Although] it’s better if they take the advantage at the start,” said F2 Logistics head coach Regine Diego.
