The Department of Health (DOH) urged the public to continue following the health protocols during the national and local elections on May 9 in order to prevent the transmission of Covid-19.
"The pandemic is not yet over," said DOH Calabarzon Regional Director Ariel Valencia on Thursday, May 5.
"Voters must strictly observe the minimum health and safety protocols such as the proper wearing of face masks inside the polling center during the voting hours, frequent sanitizing/washing of hands, and physical distancing of at least one meter” he added.
Valencia also urged the public to get their booster shots for better protection against Covid-19.
"If you protect your vote, you must also protect your health. By doing so, you are not just protecting yourself but also the people around you,” he said.
