Expect a decision from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) en Banc on the pending cases of presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr before the end of April.

"The Chairman (Saidamen Pangarungan) is committing number one before the end of April a decision by the en banc will be forthcoming," Comelec Commissioner George Garcia said in a press briefing Thursday, March 24.
"A decision on the consolidated cases, as well as the case with motions for reconsideration will be decided before the elections...before the end of April. The earliest the second week of April, the latest will be the third week of April," he added.
As to the case filed by Salandanan against Marcos Jr which is still pending before the Comelec Second Division, Garcia said, Chairman Pangarungan already asked whoever is the ponente to immediately resolve the case.
The Comelec First and Second Divisions have previously dismissed a total of six cases against Marcos due to "lack of merit." The petitioners later filed their respective MRs before the Comelec en Banc.
