Candidates in the May 9 polls are no longer allowed to campaign after May 7.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia reminded bets about the end of the campaign period.
"Tomorrow is the last day of campaigning," he said in a statement Friday, May 6.
Garcia also issued the same reminder during the Laging Handa forum.
"The period of courting (voters) will come to an end. We need to choose who among them we will choose. Your vote is very important and your vote is important on Election Day," he said.
Meanwhile, Garcia lauded candidates who followed their rules.
"Our admiration belongs to you. To those who defied , be ready to face the full force of the law and the consequences of your illegal acts," he said.
Garcia appealed to candidates to put the country's interest by helping fight vote buying among others
"On Sunday , when there is no more campaigning, please help us fight vote buying , fake news , violence and terrorism. Let's put the interest of the country first," he said.
The campaign period for national candidates started Feb. 8 while for local candidates it started March 25.
