Singer Katharine McPhee called a member of the audience on the front row for recording her using a cellular mobile phone during her performance on "David Foster and Friends" at The Theatre at Solaire, Solaire Resort Entertainment City in Paranaque on March 25. McPhee, the wife of composer-producer Foster, said she was distracted and that if the viewer wanted to take a video of her, "you should go to the back". Before the show, it was announced that any audio or video recording was not allowed during the performances. McPhee is among the artists featured on the sold-out show along with Pia Toscano, Daniel Emmet, Morissette Amon, and Concert King Martin Nievera. The American Idol alumnae said it’s her first time in the Philippines. March 25 was also McPhee’s birthday. Martin brought out a cake on stage by Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho whom she earlier serenaded at their home. McPhee opened her set with “Over the Rainbow” and had a duet with Emmet on her hit tune “Terrified”. The two also sang the Academy Award-nominated song “The Prayer” which Foster co-wrote. -
