With seven days to go before the May 9 polls, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) already distributed 70 percent of the voters information sheet.

Data from the poll body showed that as of Monday, May 2, the Comelec already distributed 46,004,200 of the 65,709,572 total VIS.
Here is the status of VIS distribution per region: CAR (100 percent), NCR (56 percent), Region 1 (100 percent), Region 2 (66 percent), Region 3 (83 percent), Region IV-A (94 percent), Region IV-B (76 percent), Region V (95 percent), Region VI (45 percent), Region VII (94 percent), Region VIII (16 percent), Region IX (24 percent), Region X (61 percent), Region XI (70 percent), Region XII (30 percent), Caraga (32 percent), and BARMM (83 percent).
On Sunday, Comelec Commissioner George Garcia asked voters to just wait for their VIS as this will all be distributed before the May 9 polls.
The VIS contains the name of the voter, the polling precinct, do's and dont's in voting, the candidates.
Based on Republic Act No. 7904 states that the Comelec must provide all registered voters, through registered mail, with a voter information sheet at least 30 days before an election which shall include the voter’s name, address, the precinct and the place where he is registered, and simplified instructions as to the casting of votes.
