60-year-old woman dies in Muntinlupa fire

A 60-year-old woman died when a fire hit a house in Muntinlupa on March 25.  According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the blaze happened at about 6:14 p.m. at No. 329 San Guillermo Street in Purok 4, Barangay Bayanan.  The fire in Barangay Bayanan, Muntinlupa on March 25 (Photo from the Muntinlupa City Fire Station)

The fire station identified the dead as Susana Alfanta, 60, who occupied the two-story house together with another family.  Firefighters raised the first alarm at 6:19 p.m. and the fire was put out at 6:45 p.m.  Investigators estimated that the fire damaged P40,000 worth of properties and affected two families or nine individuals.  They said the fire originated from the ground floor of the Alfanta home but the cause of fire is under investigation as of press time.  A total of 18 fire trucks and two ambulances responded to the incident.
