A total of 385 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Beirut and Kuwait were repatriated on March 31, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) disclosed on Monday, April 4.
It was the Philippine Embassies of Beirut and Kuwait which arranged the chartered flight for the passengers.
"We are happy to support the government in bringing home more kababayans. We are honored to enable them to reunite with their loved ones after such a long time,” said Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific.
CEB has repatriated more than 11,300 Filipinos from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, India, Vietnam, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Kuwait through the project of the DFA since July last year.
