2 drug pushers nabbed, P129,000 shabu seized in Kalinga


TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police arrested two suspected drug pushers and shabu valued at P129,200 was seized in separate search warrant operations  in Barangay Lacnog here on Thursday, March 23.

Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera chief, identified the suspects as Jack Innog Maggongoy, 20, of Purok 2, and Bongbong Ongat Tayab, 29, of Purok 3.

Suspects were high-value individuals, police said.

Maggongoy yielded 14 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 10 grams worth P67,800.

Found from Tayab were 11 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of nine grams and a standard drug price of P61,200.

The search was covered by a warrant issued by Judge Randy Bulwayan of Branch 39, Regional Trial Court in Lubuagan, Kalinga.

Pieces of evidence were marked on-site in the presence of the suspects and witnessed by Marilou Carino, representative of the Department of Justice (DOJ), Janette Alagao, media representative, and Barangay Chairman Alex Yac-ao Addawi.

Suspects and evidence were brought to the Tabuk City Police Station (CPS) for documentation.

They face drug-related charges.
