CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Three minors who were forced to work as bar attendants were rescued while two suspects were arrested by authorities in Angeles City, report said on Saturday, March 25.
Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 identified the two suspects as Rodelyn Caleloria Reyes, 45, and May Ann Joy Estember, 25, both residents of Angeles City.
Based on reports of Police Station 4 of Angeles City Police Office, a mother sought police assistance to find her 15-year-old daughter who had been missing since March 20, 2023.
Authorities immediately posted the photo at the station’s gallery of missing individuals.
A concerned citizen reported that they saw the missing minor/victim at Gold Bar, situated along Walking St., Fields Ave., Barangay Balibago, Angeles City.
Elements of PS4 together with the parent and personnel from the Business Permit and Licensing Division and City Social Welfare and Development Office of Angeles City proceeded to the said bar.
The parent of the missing minor saw her daughter with two other female minors along with the suspects.
When the victim saw her mother, she reported her ordeal which prompted the authorities to arrest the suspects.
The two suspects are now facing charges in violation of Republic Act 9208 as amended by RA 10364 (Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2012) and violation of RA 7610.
