Korean, Pinay nabbed in Angeles buy-bust

CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga – Police arrested a Korean and his Filipina cohort and seized suspected kush in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Margot, Angeles City, Pampanga on Friday, March 24. Police Regional Office 3 Director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. identified the suspects as Korean Jeuong Eung Il, alias “Matt,” 23, and Maureen Ocampo, 26, residents of Barangay Margot. Seized from the duo were two canisters containing high-grade marijuana or kush with an estimated weight of more or less 20 grams. Jeuong was listed by the police as a high-value individual. Hidalgo said suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The PRO 3 said there is no let-up in the campaign against drugs. “Your police here in Central Luzon will have no letup on our crackdown on all forms of lawlessness especially illegal drugs as we continue to deliver excellent police services to the communities of Region 3," Hidalgo said.
