The state weather bureau said a fair and humid weather condition will prevail across the Philippines in the next few days.

Apart from the slight chances of isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms, a fair and humid weather is expected to prevail throughout the country in the next two to three days, said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Weather Specialist Obet Badrina.

“Halos walang kaulapan sa malaking bahagi ng bansa. Easterlies ang nakakaapekto sa silangang bahagi ng Southern Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao (There are almost no clouds covering most parts of the country. The easterlies are affecting the eastern parts of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao) ,” said Badrina in a public weather forecast on Saturday, March 25.

The easterlies — or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean —  will continue to cause humid weather over most of the Philippines and trigger rain showers in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao in the next two to three days.

In Metro Manila, the temperature may vary from 25°C to 35°C.

“Iwasan po nating lumabas lalo na kapag tanghali dahil medyo mainit na ang panahon ngayon (Let us avoid going out especially at noon because the weather is quite warm now),” Badrina added.

The state weather bureau on Tuesday, March 21, announced the termination of the northeast monsoon, locally called “amihan,” and the onset of the warm and dry season in the country.
