A teen actor and two others died while their companion was injured after the car they were riding crashed into a concrete signage of a subdivision along Commonwealth Avenue in Barangay Old Balara, Quezon City on Friday, March 24.
District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) Sector 5 identified the fatalities as Andrei Sison, 17, and his friends Arman Velasco and Paulo Bueza, who was driving the car.
Their friend, Josh Ford, who is also an actor, sustained severe injuries but is now in stable condition.
According to Cpl. Jen Mark Betito, investigator on the case, Sison and his friends were traversing the south-bound lane of Commonwealth Avenue heading to Quezon Memorial Circle at 2:40 a.m. on Friday when their sedan car sideswiped the right portion of a sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The victims' car then hit an electrical post and a tree before crashing into the concrete signage of the New Intramuros subdivision.
Betito said the victims were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center where Sison, Bueza and Velasco were declared dead on arrival.
MDTEU said the driver of the SUV, Jeremiah Miranda, 29, a resident of Brgy. Sauyo, Quezon City, sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, Sison's talent agency, GMA Sparkle, released a statement regarding his demise in a Facebook post.
"Our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Andrei. We request everyone to respect his family's privacy in this time of great loss and join us in praying for the eternal repose of his soul," it said.
