A Korean and two others listed as wanted persons in the city were arrested by members of the Pasay City Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) on Friday, March 24.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspects as Tong Park, 54, a Korean national; Catalino Inocencio, 72; and Eduardo Villanueva, 51.
Uy said Inocencio is facing charges for violation of the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipino Act of 1995 and estafa. He was arrested at around 3:40 p.m. on David Street in Pasay City.
Police served two warrants of arrest to Inocencio -- one issued by Judge Mildred Villaroman Hernal of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 35, Third Judicial Region, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija; and the other by Judge Dante Gil Gumpang, of Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC), Third Judicial Region, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
No bail was recommended in the warrant issued by Hernal, while a recommended bail worth P16,000 was noted in the warrant issued by Gumpang for the estafa case.
Villanueva, tagged as the 10th most wanted person in Pasay City, was arrested at around 3:40 p.m. on Pasadena Street in Barangay 77 for possession of illegal drugs.
The WSS team served to Villanueva the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Edilwasif Baddiri of Pasay City RTC Branch 115.
Park was also arrested for possession of illegal drugs at around 4:10 p.m. on Pasadena Street in Pasay City.
The warrant of arrest for Park was issued by Judge Petronillo Sulla, Jr. of Pasay City RTC Branch 110 with no bail recommended.
The suspects are detained at the Pasay police custodial facility.
