Sunshine Dizon grieving over the passing of her father

Actress Sunshine Dizon is in mourning following the death of her dad. On Instagram, the seasoned actress paid tribute to her father by sharing a photo of them together along with the text: "I love you Papa. I never knew this kind of pain and longing. I will always be a Papa's girl." In another post, she revealed about her boarding the "most painful" flight she will ever take. Note that her late father was living abroad along with her siblings. "No more Papa's big smile and warm hug to welcome me," Sunshine related. "Please whisper a prayer for My Papa Isagani Bengson Dizon Jr. who died peacefully in his sleep March 20, 2023."
She added: "Please pray for strength for my two siblings Sami and Isabel Dizon and the whole family. Thank you to those who called, messaged me personally, left messages and to those whom we personally do not know and yet sent their sympathies, thank you." Many of Sunshine's colleagues in show business offered their prayers. Carla Abellana wrote: "I am so sorry for your loss, Ate Sunshine…" Angelika Dela Cruz commented: "My condolences Mare to you and your family." Jackie Lou Blanco echoed the same: "My deepest condolences Nak...." Teresa Loyzaga related: "Deepest sympathy." Karylle said: "praying with u sister." Jake Ejercito maintained: "Safe flight, ate. Yakap nang mahigpit." Vina Morales replied: "Just saw this sis. my love and prayers for you and the whole family." Sunshine penned a sweet birthday greeting for her father last November. It read: "Happy birthday Papa (heart emoji) wish i was there to give you a tight hug and warm kisses. I only pray that your health will improve so that we can still have more time together and spend time with your two beautiful grandchildren. I love you is not enough. Thank you for being my Papa (heart emoji) i miss you papa."
During the pandemic, the actress related how much she appreciated her father's weekly calls just to check on her and his grandchild. "Hope everything will go back to normal soon so we can spend Christmas with you, sami and bella again. We love you Papa (heart emoji) please stay safe."
