While it maintained its No. 1 spot in the ratings, this is a decrease of 0.98 percentage point compared to 8.578 percent for episode 4 on March 17. Based on the number of viewers, “Jinny’s Kitchen” episode 5 was watched by 1.81 million people nationwide in South Korea, compared to 2.1 million people for the previous episode. In the metropolitan area (Seoul, Gyeong-gi and Incheon) in South Korea, episode 5 received a rating of 8.649 percent, a decrease of 1.2 percentage point compared to 9.852 percent for episode 4. It was watched by 993,000 people in the metropolitan area. In episode 5, the team introduced a new menu item to entice customers. They came up with “chibap” or chicken-mayo rice. “Bap” means rice in Korean. They suffered a sales drop from 10,000 Mexican pesos (about $542) on the third day to 4,700 Mexican pesos ($254) on the fourth day. With this, they discussed strategies to boost sales.
