President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. joined the Catholic faithful in celebrating the declaration of the Antipolo Cathedral as an international shrine.
"Nakikiisa tayo sa kapwa nating Katoliko sa pagdiriwang sa deklarasyon ng Vatican sa Antipolo Cathedral bilang kauna-unahang international shrine sa bansa at ikatlo sa buong Asya (We join the Catholic faithful in celebrating the declaration made by the Vatican for Antipolo Cathedral as the first international shrine in the country and third in Asia)," Marcos said on Friday, March 24.
The President expressed hope that the declaration would further strengthen the faith of Filipino Catholics.
"Nawa'y palalimin pa ng karangalang ito ang pananampalataya ng bawat isa (May this honor strengthen everyone's faith)," Marcos said.
The declaration of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Voyage, known as Antipolo Shrine as international, will take effect on March 25.
