Two riders dead, one injured in Negros collision

BACOLOD CITY – Two motorcycle riders were dead while one was wounded after they figured in a collision with a panel van loaded with parcels at Sitio Nabutahan, Brgy. Quezon, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, March 21. Capt. Ruby Aurita, spokesperson of San Carlos City Police Station, said the victims were allegedly speeding on their way home, when they collided with the panel van at the curve part of the road. Guarin died on the spot, while the 12-year-old boy passed away in a hospital, according to Aurita. The wounded victim was transferred to a hospital here for surgery, Aurita said. She said the company of the panel van driver has assured assistance to the victims’ families. Meanwhile, a father and his two children were also killed after their tricycle crashed into a truck parked in Barangay Cabahug, Cadiz City on March 18.
