Martin Nievera, the renowned "Concert King" and judge of The Voice Kids Philippines, graced the opening of Tiong Bahru Philippines' sixth branch in Alabang Town Center.

A close friend of Kathryna Yu-Pimentel, co-owner of the international chicken franchise, Nievera was among the first to try the Michelin-starred Singaporean cuisine in the newly-opened restaurant.

Tiong Bahru, a village in Singapore, opened its first international franchise in the Philippines in 2019, with Yu-Pimentel and other partners including Andrew Koh, Abel Manliclic, Danny Ngo, Milo Ramirez, Alvin Vega, Tony Moncupa, Alex Padilla, and Ramon Garcia.

The franchise's flagship dish, the Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken, has been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand for five consecutive years (2017-2022), recognizing its exceptional value for money.

Thanks to its continuous success, Tiong Bahru Philippines is expanding throughout Manila, bringing the beloved Hainanese chicken to fans from all walks of life. Yu-Pimentel has vowed to continue growing the chicken joint in the heart of the metro so that locals no longer need to travel abroad to savor authentic Singaporean-style chicken.
