Muntinlupa residents get free eyeglasses

The Muntinlupa City government has started giving free eyeglasses to residents in different barangays. The distribution of the free eyeglasses is part of Mayor Ruffy Biazon’s 54th birthday celebration.

Biazon visited the Tensuan Site in Barangay Poblacion on March 23 to oversee the distribution of the eyeglasses. “Pag-ingatan natin ang ating mga mata lalo sa panahon ngayon na uso ang paggamit ng devices at gadgets (I urge everyone to take care of their eyes especially now that the use of devices and gadgets is popular),” he said. According to the city government, a total of 5,500 pieces of eyeglasses will be given away. It has distributed 382 eyeglasses in Barangay Alabang and 501 in Barangay Tunasan. In Poblacion, the target is 500 beneficiaries. The free eyeglasses program will continue in Barangays Putatan, Ayala Alabang, Sucat, Cupang, Buli and Bayanan from March 24 to 29.
