Mandaluyong City's most wanted fugitive arrested

The Eastern Police District (EPD) announced the arrest of Mandaluyong City's Top 1 Most Wanted criminal for the crime of murder on Monday, March 22. EPD District Director Brig. Gen. Wilson Asueta said that the suspect is identified as Renante Oclarit Almoite, 44, and a resident of Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City. According to the authorities, Almoite was arrested following a manhunt operation led by the Mandaluyong City Police in Barangay Plainview. It added that they have conducted a series of surveillance and validation operations to determine the exact location of the suspect. The operation was conducted by virtue of A Warrant of Arrest issued by Rizalina Capco-Umali, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 212, Mandaluyong City dated July 15, 2005 for the crime of murder. Almoite was brought to the Pasig City Police office for proper documentation and was later turned over to the Pasig City Police Station Custodial Facility for custody. Asueta thanked the Mandaluyong City Police for their highly laudable anti-criminality campaign in the Metro East. “We will continue this admirable feat as we continue the fight against lawlessness. The EPD will put all criminals behind bars," Asueta said.
