A Filipino boxing icon paid a courtesy call to Speaker Martin Romualdez on Wednesday, March 22 at the House of Representatives in Quezon City.
Chatting and posing for pictures with Romualdez was Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire Jr.
Donaire, 40, is truly one of the greats in the sport based on his achievements.
He is a four-division champion and holds the record as the oldest boxer ever to win a bantamweight world title.
Donaire has also held world championships in three consecutive decades: the 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. This makes him only the sixth boxer in history to do so after Evander Holyfield, Manny Pacquiao, Bernard Hopkins, Érik Morales, and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
