Ex-OFW falls in Cagayan buy-bust

SOLANA, Cagayan – Police seized suspected marijuana from a former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Centro Southeast here on Wednesday, March 22. Police identified the suspect as Jayvee Sibbaluca, 30, of Barangay Andarayan North here. Suspect was arrested by the Solana police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) after he sold one folded white calendar paper containing dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing more or less five grams to a poseur-buyer. Sibbaluca yielded the buy-bust money, a cellular phone, and a motorcycle. A case for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was filed against the suspect.
