CAVITE – A carnapping incident in Imus City ended in a firefight between law enforcers and the suspect on Wednesday, March 22.
According to Cavite Police Provincial Office, Imus City Police Station (CPS) received a report from a 23-year-old victim about his motorcycle being stolen while parked in front of their house.
The victim sought assistance from the police after discovering that his motorcycle was allegedly being disassembled in front of the suspect’s house in the same barangay.
Authorities conducted a follow-up operation and caught the suspect, identified as Floro S. Fisalbon Jr., in the act of dismantling the motorcycle.
The suspect reportedly eluded arrest by firing a .38 caliber revolver, prompting the responding police to fire back.
Fisalbon sustained a gunshot wound on his right thigh and was rushed to Ospital ng Imus for medical treatment.
