101-year-old gets P100,000 birthday gift from Taguig LGU
A 101-year-old female centenarian received P100,000 as a birthday gift from the Taguig City government.Â

Aniceta Rayos from Barangay Ligid-Tipas in Taguig celebrated her 101st birthday on March 20. As an incentive, the Taguig City government, through the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), presented her with a centenarian cash gift of P100,000. All centenarians, or those who are 100 years old and above, get P100,000 every year as a birthday gift from the city government. Senior citizens, meanwhile, also receive birthday cash gifts ranging from P3,000 to P10,000 depending on their age. Besides the cash gift, senior citizens in Taguig also get free maintenance medicine for high blood, diabetes and asthma; free wheelchairs, crutches and hearing aids; and free health services at their homes. Senior citizens can also relax at the Center for the Elderly in Barangay North Signal, the first wellness hub launched by Mayor Lani Cayetano in 2019, according to the OSCA Taguig Facebook page.  The center has a therapy pool, clinic, sauna, gym/yoga/ballroom area, massage room, multipurpose hall/recreational area, cinema and rooftop garden.
