PDEA's No. 2 regional priority target killed in Leyte buy-bust

TACLOBAN CITY – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) second regional priority target in Eastern Visayas (Region 8) was killed in a buy-bust operation in Merida, Leyte, on Tuesday, March 21. The suspect was identified as Rodcir Maraviles, a resident of Barangay Libertad, Ormoc, City, and listed as a high-value individual (HVI). A police poseur-buyer bought suspected shabu from the suspect worth P30,000. However, the suspect sensed he was dealing with the police and fired at the operatives. Police retaliated and killed the suspect. Maraviles was taken to the Ormoc District Hospital where he died.
