An estimated P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized from a High-Value Individual (HVI) in Brgy Tartaro, San Miguel, Bulacan on Tuesday, March 21.

Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the arrested suspect as Christopher Ruvas alias "Parak," 35, of San Pedro City, Laguna. He was caught in the act of selling one plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer. The confiscated illegal drug weighed 50 grams with a street value of P340,000. Also recovered were one black bag, a Suzuki motorcycle UB125, and the buy-bust money. Col. Arnedo said the apprehension of the suspect was the result of the coordinated efforts of the San Miguel police station; Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) 3rd Maneuver Platoon. The arrested suspect and the confiscated illegal drugs were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while an appropriate criminal complaint against the suspect is now being prepared for filing in court. PNP Region 3 Director, Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr., stated that as part of its unrelenting fight against illegal substances, the Bulacan Provincial Police Office is unrelenting in its pursuit of drug criminals and puts them behind the bars of justice in compliance with the Chief PNP's directive.
