Man arrested for allegedly raping 13-year-old girl in QC
Operatives of Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Holy Spirit Station (PS 14) arrested a man after he allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City on Tuesday, March 21.
Police identified the suspect as John Mark, 20, of the said barangay.
Initial reports disclosed that the victim, a Grade 7 student, was walking along Lower Sampalucan Street in Barangay Pasong Tamo when the suspect approached her, forcibly took her ring and put it on his finger.
This prompted the girl to follow John Mark to his house where he allegedly sexually abused her.
The victim did not tell her parents about the incident due to fear but was able to report it to her class adviser.
The class adviser told the victim’s mother. They sought the help of the police who responded and arrested the suspect in said barangay.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) 11648 (An Act Providing for Stronger Protection Against Rape and Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), the QCPD said.
