Kira Balinger has finally addressed rumors linking her to actor Kelvin Miranda.
Note that Kira was accused prior of being the third party causing trouble between Kelvin and former girlfriend Roselle Vytiaco.
Asked about recently, Kira said, "Honestly, I would much rather do this in an official interview. Pero sige I have no problem with answering: Hindi po ako third wheel."
"Kung ano po yung naging usapan nilang dalawa ng ex nila, wala po akong alam duon, out na po ako du'n. And if there's somebody that Ate Girl should talk to - should be him not me," she added.
Kira said that from one woman to another woman, she understands the pain of being cheated on.
"Pero honestly ako, from my point of view, wala po akong alam," she noted.
"And I'm confident to say na hindi ako kabit, gaya ng sinasabi ng lahat. Like what she made me out to be."
But she admitted: "May mali ako."
Apparently she had been too chummy with Kelvin.
It resulted in online chats, intimate photos that soon made it to social media courtesy of Roselle.
"But chats lang yun. Those were just chats. Ni minsan hindi kami lumabas together. And in the lock-in (taping), we had our PAs. It was always after the set go to the rooms, sleep, done, honestly," Kira stressed.
So did Kevin apologize to her for being dragged into the mess?
"Siyempre po may sorry kasi nadamay ako sa ano nila. Pero ayun, stuff happens, unfortunately," she said.
Kira reiterated: "I did not break them up and I'm very confident to say that."
"Because I do not steal men, I do not run after them, they come to me," she said. "And it was my mistake, I entertained one too many and I am sorry for that. And I am making up for it. I take accountability for my actions."
Is she still friends with Kelvin?
Kira answered, "We still have lots of promotions to do. I think it's more of work now. Of course, may pinagsamahan. Of course with all of the scenes that we had, siyempre nagkaroon ng friendship - there was friendship before anything else, before all of those silly chats. Pero ngayon siyempre yung trust. Trust is a big thing. Pero I'm not totally saying na 'Ayoko na sayo' and everything. Pero work. Work na lang."
Kira admitted she got furious when she got involved in the controversy.
"Honestly, ayoko po talaga ng ganun," she said. "To be dragged into a situation like that na wala naman po akong ginagawa - I'm just working and okay nagkataon na nag-chat and everything - parang I felt it was very unfair that I was dragged like that on social media."
She noted how Roselle could get herself in legal trouble for what she did.
"Honestly, okay lang sa akin, I understand your pain but it's how you behave. Kasi to be very, very honest I would have appreciated it if she would message me. And we could have a coffee about it - let's talk about it, sino ka. I would gladly accept that, like, sophisticated women should do. Hindi yung you're going to put your problems on social media like that and encourage other people to do that na mali," she said.
"Honestly, that's big legal trouble pero I choose not to because again, who has the time? I don't have the energy. I'm busy and I have so many blessings coming my way so dapat yun po yung focus ko. So dedma. Its done and I hope that... actually lahat naman kami may mali, may sabit ng konti. But I've learned my lesson. Definitely, I have learned my lesson and I've paid up for it. So I hope siya rin, sila rin. Both of them."
