DICT’s Lamentillo now part of Presidential Security Group

After completing the VIP Protection Executive Training (VIPPET) of the PSG Training School, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo is now officially part of the Presidential Security Group (PSG).

“It’s an honor to be part of the PSG and their noble duty of protecting the state personified in the President who received the mandate of the people,” Lamentillo, who is a Commodore of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), said in a statement.

In ceremonies led by PSG Commander, Brigadier General Ramon P. Zagala on March 21, Lamentillo graduated from PSG’s VIPPET as part of Class 02-2023, Batch Protego.

The PSG is an elite force of both military and civilian agents whose primary responsibility is to protect at all costs the President and the first family, and other dignitaries.

Last January, Lamentillo was also inducted as Auxiliary Commodore (one-star general) of the PCGA, a uniformed civilian volunteer organization that supports the Philippine Coast Guard in the promotion of the safety of life and property at sea.

Its functions include maritime environment protection, maritime search and rescue, maritime safety, and maritime community relations.
