Continued collaboration
To encourage the public to complete SIM Registration, DICT is continuing its collaboration with local government units (LGUs). The partnership aims to spread awareness of SIM Registration and its period of registration. DICT noted that facilitated SIM Registration is also ongoing which is a joint effort with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). In a recent interview, DICT Undersecretary and Spokesperson Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo explained how Tech4ED Centers can be beneficial to SIM Registration. DICT, she added, is also offering assistance through its Regional and Provincial Offices “To encourage the public to register their SIMs, the DICT continues to collaborate with LGUS to spread awareness and information,” Lamentillo said in a mix of English and Filipino. “For far-flung areas and isolated locations, the DICT is working with the NTC to facilitate SIM Registration,” she said. “Further, the DICT is providing assistance with SIM Registration through the DICT Regional and Provincial Offices,” she added. DICT, under the leadership of Secretary Ivan John Uy, also reminded the public to register their SIMs only through the official portals of their respective PTEs and to be “vigilant as they complete the process.” The official links of PTEs are [smart.com.ph/simreg](http://smart.com.ph/simreg) or simreg.smart.com.ph (SMART); [new.globe.com.ph/simreg](http://new.globe.com.ph/simreg) (GLOBE); and [https://digital.dito.ph/pto/download/app](https://digital.dito.ph/pto/download/app) (DITO).
