Teves says he's not hiding, insists dog knew Degamo killers
Negros Oriental 3rd district Rep. Arnolfo "Arnie" Teves Jr. has posted another video message on Facebook wherein he once again cited the alleged familiarity of a dog with the gunmen who killed Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
The video, which was captioned "Hindi ako nagtatago (I'm not hiding)," was over 17 minutes long.
"Uulitin ko to, nung sinabi ko rin sa isang video. Nakita na natin na yung pumasok, kilala (I will say this again, what I said in my previous video. We saw that the gunmen were known to people in the area)," Teves said in the video posted Tuesday night, March 21.
Teves was referring to closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage of the March 4 assassination of his provincemate Degamo.
In the footage, the armed men who carried out the killing casually entered the Degamo compound in Pamplona, Negros Oriental. This allowed for an easy kill.
At least two dogs were inside the compound as seen on the footage.
"Kilala ng mga nandun, kahit yung guwardiya na lang at yung aso. Nagwagayway pa yung buntot nung aso (They were known by local, at the very least known by the guard and the dog. The dog even wagged it's tail)," the solon recounted. Teves, who is believed to be out of the country, is being implicated in Degamo's killing. The Facebook video was posted at past 9:30 p.m. Teves hinted at posting more such videos in the future.
