ROXAS, Isabela – The construction of the Siffu Bridge in Barangay Siffu, Roxas, Isabela is 75.66 percent complete as of Dec. 31, 2022, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), said.
The project implemented under the Multi-Year Contractual Authority (MYCA) is expected to be completed by Feb. 25, 2024.
The project involves the replacement of the old, ravaged bridge with a new, four-lane transport facility that promises improved traffic flow and reduced travel time between Santiago City and Tuguegarao City.
Once the project is completed, travel time will be reduced by 20 to 30 minutes.
The completion of the Siffu Bridge is expected to further enhance the connectivity of the region and bring about economic growth in the area, according to the DPWH.
