MORE Power unwraps mobile sub-station in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power) has energized a mobile sub-station to serve the Molo District  while the permanent sub-station is undergoing rehabilitation.

MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Castro said the customized, state-of-the art sub-station, considered as the first in the country, has a maximum 36 megavolt ampere (MVA) power transformer. It was assembled by Turkish company Aktif Elektroteknik with majority of the parts coming from German and Italian companies such as Siemens, ASTOR A.Ş, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, and Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen. The sub-station was energized to temporarily serve customers in the Molo District as MORE Power is upgrading the old Molo sub-station. Castro said that the mobile sub-station is designed to ensure customers' access to reliable and cost-efficient power supply as the permanent sub-station is being upgraded. After Molo District, the mobile substation will be rotated to complement other substations here that will also undergo rehabilitation.
