BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.7 earthquake rocked Central Mindanao or the South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and General Santos area (Soccksargen) on Tuesday morning, March 21.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the earthquake at 5:13 a.m.
The epicenter was 25 kilometers northwest of Bongo Island in Parang, Maguindanao del Norte, and had a depth of 575 kilometers, Phivolcs said.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Central Mindanao region and Maguindanao del Norte Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported no damage or injury from the earthquake.
