Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez announced the plan of the city government to build a Women and Children's hospital to further improve accessible health care services to residents.

The mayor said that as a registered nurse aside from being a professor, health and education are part of his administration's priorities.

Olivarez said the Women and Children’s Hospital will be located beside the Ospital ng Parañaque (OsPar)-1 located along Barangay La Huerta.

He said the seven-storey facility will be the second hospital in the country that will exclusively cater to women and children.

The mayor said the city government already started the demolition of the buildings beside the OsPar-1 to pave the way for the construction of the Women and Children’s Hospital.

Olivarez said the city government allotted a total of P149-million for the construction of the hospital.
