P5.1M 'shabu' seized, drug suspect arrested in Tagaytay buy-bust

CAVITE – A drug suspect tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) yielded P5,168,000 worth of suspected “shabu” in a buy-bust operation in Tagaytay City on Saturday, March 18. The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspect as Juliet Reyes, 38, a resident of Magalang, Pampanga. The operation was conducted by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) 4A in coordination with the Cavite PDEU, Tagaytay City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 4A, Police Drug Enforcement Group -Special Operations Unit 4A, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 4A. Authorities organized the operation upon receiving reports that a certain alias Bata and cohorts were distributing illegal drugs in the city. Reyes is facing charges for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and was brought to Regional PDEU 4A along with the recovered pieces of evidence. Operatives, meanwhile, are still conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspect’s cohort, identified as AJ Muñoz, who managed to elude arrest. “We are appealing to the public who ever saw or knows the whereabouts of the said person, to report it to the nearest police station or to this office for his immediate arrest,” the Cavite PPO said.
