The 28-year-old Tabuena torched the field with a final-round seven-under-par 65 to finish with a 12-under par 276, beating Khan by only one stroke. The Filipino bet had earlier rounds of 68, 71 and 72. The victory not only earned him the $135,000 top purse (around P7.3 million), but also ended a five-year title drought in the Asian Tour for Tabuena, whose last title came at the Queen’s Cup in December 2018. Overall, it was Tabuena’s third Asian Tour title – his first one at the Philippine Open in 2015. Khan, who started the round with a three-shot lead, scored a final-round 72 to finish with 277. Thailand’s Chapchai Nirat came in third with a 278 after a fourth-round 68, while local bets Chikkarangappa S and S.S.P Chwrasia placed fourth and fifth with 280 and 281 aggregates.
