Fire hits school, office supplies factory in Muntinlupa
A fire damaged a building of a leading school and office supplies manufacturer in Muntinlupa on March 20.
According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the blaze started at the Amalgamated Specialties Corporation (Amspec) on Km. 21, West Service Road in Barangay Cupang at about 10:23 a.m.

Amspec manufactures school and office supplies under the brands Crayola, Li’l Hands, Elephant, and Touch and Go. Firefighters raised the first alarm of the industrial blaze at 10:24 a.m. It was placed under control at 10:47 a.m. before it was put out at 10:58 a.m. The one-storey structure had an area of 60 sq. m. and suffered fire damage worth P2.11 million based on estimates by the fire station. No one was injured in the fire. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation. A total of 11 fire trucks and one ambulance responded to the incident
