78% of Filipinos still worried about contracting Covid-19, survey says

Majority of Filipino adults remain worried about contracting Covid-19, results of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released on Monday, March 20 showed.
The latest SWS survey, which was conducted from Dec. 10 to 14, 2022, revealed that 78 percent are still worried that they might get the viral disease.
“Worry about catching Covid-19 remains unchanged since June 2022,” it pointed out.
Of the 78 percent, SWS said 59 percent are “worried a great deal,” 18 percent “somewhat worried,” 9 percent “worried a little,” and 13 percent “not worried about it.”
Majority of Filipinos hopeful worst of Covid-19 over
During the same survey period, SWS found that 93 percent of Filipino adults are hopeful that the worst of the Covid-19 crisis is behind us.
Only 6 percent of Filipinos say that the worst of the Covid-19 crisis is yet to come.
“Since December 2021, large majorities say the worst is behind us,” SWS pointed out.
It conducted the 4th Quarter 2022 SWS nationwide survey from Dec. 10 to 14 using face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults, 18 years old and above.
The survey has a sampling error margin of +/-2.8 percent.
